SCHOOL GROUPS
The Quays lake in Mytchett being an area of outstanding natural beauty has an array of wild life. We would like to invite any school group to this beautiful area free of charge for Geography or Environmental projects as we would like to share this area with the local community.
There are many lessons to be learnt in the outdoors from leadership and self-confidence to geography and the environment.
Grow Your Own Scheme
With our purpose built allotment, children have the chance to learn where certain foods come from by growing them themselves. Children then have the opportunity to cook the food or take it home. We believe many lessons can be learnt within the environment, this scheme aims to foster a relationship between child and nature providing a healthier and more sustained future.
Environmental Study
With over 70 acres, the potential for studies and investigations is vast. Many different ecosystems ranging from woodland to water based can offer a brilliant opportunity for geography and environmental projects from key stage one to five. We can also provide you with our double decker bus that has been specifically converted with an upstairs classroom.
