Explore Activity and Education Centre, based in Mytchett has access to a beautiful sheltered lake. This provides us with a great location to run our Kayak and Canoe courses from. This coupled with our fantastic team of instructors is a sure way to develop paddle sport skills within children and adults.
For the younger children (8 years to 15) we offer the paddle power scheme, this has been specifically designed with children in mind. The many stages are bright and colourful and will take the children on a journey discovering different strokes, boats and environments.
For the slightly older (15 years plus) we offer the one and two star qualifications. These courses offer a structured introduction and development of paddle sport skills. These courses will not only cover moving forwards, backwards and sideways, also they will take you through basic rescues methods and safety principles. The two star award will get you to the standard to get your foot on the first step of the coaching ladder.
